Dear Professor Freud,
Frau Gi. from D. has been telephoning me from Zurich at intervals since January, saying that she wants to come here unless I will go to see her in Zurich. She asked me a long time ago to consult you about her, but I did not want to bother you since I thought that she would never in the end make up her mind to come to us. She does not want analysis nor could I take her on at this moment. Since she has repeated her request and claims that she is ill and insists on my coming to Zurich in the near future, I have promised to write to you. As far as I can make out she seems to be a most difficult case of obsessional neurosis. I also know that she is ‘an Evidential Dream’.1
