Binswanger wrote in his diary only very briefly on his participation in this congress:
‘23 September went to Berlin for the 7th International Psychoanalytic Congress. 24-28 September Berlin. Congress not on the same level as the last one in The Hague. Since then even greater material and personal distance from psychoanalysis. But respect for Freud remains the same. Took Butz [the second son, Ludwig] with me to the lectures.’ (Diary II, p. 147.)
