Abstract
Binswanger first described this visit in his paper ‘Freud und die Verfassung der klinischen Psychiatrie’ (1936) and then in his Reminiscences (1956c, pp. 79-83 in the English edition, 1957). Both reports are based on diary entries, whose original text appears in the Appendix, pp. 237-8.
