E quindi uscimmo a riveder le stelle.1
Who knows this? Until nightfall I was with the dead in a Roman columbarium, in Christian and Jewish catacombs. It is cold, dark and not very pleasant down there. In the Jewish ones the inscriptions are Greek, the candelabrum-I think it's called Menorah-can be seen on many tablets. The (female) guide-I was the only visitor-forgot to bring the key of the exit, so we had either to go all the way back or stay down below. I chose the former.
Affectionately

Last line of Dante's “Inferno”: “And thence we came forth to see the stars again.”
