Vienna IX, Berggasse 19
April 3, 1922
My dear Ernst
It really is not necessary to wish you luck on your thirtieth birthday. You are the only one among my children who already possesses everything a man can want at your age: a loving wife, a splendid child, work, income, and friends. You deserve it all too, and since not all things in life go according to merit, let me express the wish that luck will continue to remain faithful to you.
Love
Papa
