Dear Pfister
I seize the opportunity to congratulate you; I would be very happy to set aside a special shelf in my bookcases for the translations of your books if you would like to present me with them. Of all the applications of psychoanalysis the only one actually thriving is that which you inaugurated, the branch applied to pedagogy. I am very pleased that my daughter is beginning to achieve something in this field.
The day after receiving your book I dreamed I was in Zürich. I probably wanted to visit you. The dream of a travel cripple! At Christmas I would like to risk the attempt of a trip to Berlin-to make the acquaintance of four little grandchildren.1
Cordially
