Vienna IX, Berggasse 19
February 8, 1930
Dear Madam
You have guessed my attitude toward autograph hunters correctly. If by a stroke of the pen one can really do something for
a worthy person in need, then one has no reason to hesitate, and one can even discover something useful in human folly. Please do not omit in the interest of your protégé to drive home to the wealthy lady that a specimen such as that enclosed is otherwise difficult to obtain.
Sincerely yours
Freud
