My dear Colleague,
Yesterday my daughter left for Merano to convalesce.1 All the others are back to normal again.
Your plan interests me greatly. I will await the work with much interest and shall publish it as Vol. V. The fourth in the series deals with a similar subject, the myth of the birth of the hero (Cyrus, Romulus, Moses, etc.), which is given a completely psychological interpretation. The author is our young secretary, Herr Otto Rank,2 and a little of it will be mine. But I think you ought to take a good look at the astral meaning of myths, which now, since the discoveries of Winckler3 (Jeremias,4 Stucken5) about the ancient oriental world system, can no longer be ignored. We were confronted with the same task. Apart from that, I believe there is room for a ψ explanation, because, after all, the ancients only projected their phantasies onto the sky.
The Anal Eroticism, which I expect daily, will surely not be very effective in winning people over, in that you are right. But if we can only get the matter securely under control. The others will come over in the end, whether still in my life-time or not, I have no misgivings about that.
