Dear Colleague,
As usual you make it easy for me to reply, as in both cases I only need to say yes. I should also take the feeling of constriction round the mouth as displaced vaginismus; the patient herself must tell you about the more special determinations.
Your dream interpretation is certainly correct, and a complement to the passage you quote. There it says: “or” in the dream is to be replaced by “and” in the [dream] thoughts1; you add: “Or” in thoughts is shown by simply stringing them together ([“]and[”]) in the dream. Drawing apart in five single dreams is quite a charming manner [?],2 and particularly transparent; usually the different possibilities are composed one over the other (in each other).
I am now reassured about your Salzburg lecture, about the missing of which I have been worried; I am supposed to talk a little casuistics according to Jung's wish.
Reading about the Babylonian matter3 will in any case stimulate you very much. I, too, think it will not disturb our circles.4
In my family nothing is quite right these days. We cannot escape from the children being ill. My daughter writes very favourable reports from Merano.
With cordial greetings,
Yours,
