Dear Colleague,
I am highly delighted at your good news, not least at your independence of O., who is a hopeless proposition in any case.
Now to the most important matter, our next meeting. On the outward journey I shall probably be travelling direct from Munich to Bremen (21 Aug. “George Washington” N[ord]D[eutscher] L[loyd]). On the way back, I want to stop briefly in Hamburg; then break the journey in Berlin. There I have a very jealous and incredibly youthful and energetic 75-year-old brother,1 from whom I shall conceal my presence for half a day in order to have the chance of talking to you and catching a glimpse of your hospitable home. The rest we shall see. Probable date, towards the very end of September.
