Dear Professor,
I do not want to delay answering your last letter any longer, and I am sending you a few lines, as there is not very much to report. It is not very likely that I shall come to the region where you are having your summer holidays; if we go away we shall probably go to a Danish sea resort (Gillelege). On the other hand, it is very probable that at the time of your journey to America I will be in Bremen, where my parents live. If you have no other claims on your time, we might perhaps be able to see each other. Otherwise, a bit later in Berlin! The practice is so busy again at this very moment that I am most anxious for a little relaxation.
I know you will be pleased when I tell you that in the first half of this year the practice has already brought in a good 4,000 M. I can add that on the difficult ground of Berlin most people are progressing very much more slowly. Incidentally, Oppenheim has recently been kind enough to take care of me again; only the times during which he is repressing particularly strongly are unfavourable to me.

Hirschfeld has been away since February, Juliusburger is ill and away; of the others, who had taken part more as audience, nobody asked about a meeting, and so nothing could be done recently. I have hopes for the autumn.—As far as Moll is concerned, the assertion that my lectures were becoming less frequent is a spiteful invention. As it is, I have given a single one in November, and one in May in “his” “Psychological Societ
