Vienna IX, Berggasse 19
20 May 1914
Dear Friend,
I know the context of what went on in Zurich, and have always had the same opinion of it as you, and I have made no secret of this understanding to Maeder in my letters. There is an allusion to this in the
article at one single point, where I talk about adaptation to reality which goes too far. I could not say more without direct denunciation.
In the narcissism I must rewrite the passage on hypochondria1; it has turned out too confusing.
At last I can tell you about the summer. Karlsbad from 12 July to 2 August, then probably Seis am Schlern,2 until we leave for Dresden.
I am still working hard.
With cordial greetings,
Yours,
