Dear Professor,
The proof-correcting is almost finished. Your correction (with regard to Adler), the alteration of my review in the direction required, and the insertion of Ferenczi's supplement to the review have been taken care of.
I have heard nothing yet from Zurich or Munich. Unless you wish otherwise, I shall send off the letter to Maeder and Seif next Sunday!
Last Friday, at the end of the summer term, I gave a talk to the “Gesellschaft für Sexualwissenschaft” on incest, marriage among relatives, and exogamy.1 I met with more understanding and appreciation than I had anticipated.
Now I must ask for your advice. I had already written some time ago that I would like to talk in Dresden on the treatment of psychoses. I have meanwhile come to feel that it would be preferable to have a bit more experience before going public with it; perhaps this subject could be treated in the main talk at one of the next congresses. Now another topic suggests itself to me. With the help of several analyses conducted during this last year I have, I believe, succeeded in explaining ejaculatio præcox almost completely, that is, back to the earliest roots in the first two years of life.2 I should like to present the results to the Congress. Now I should be glad to know whether you think the subject suitable. Furthermore, I would mention that I should have to go into castration anxiety in some detail, and what you told me at Christmas on the journey to Berlin3 has not yet been published! The most pleasant solution would be, naturally, if you yourself would speak about these matters in Dresden, and if I could then demonstrate their application, so to speak, to a specific problem. This derivation from castration anxiety is, incidentally, only one of the results obtained.
After business, now comes pleasure. My wife and I will presumably leave on 9 August and arrive in Seis on the 10th. So I should like to ask you for details of the hotel!
