Dear Professor,
Many thanks for your postcard! I postponed writing until today. Now that Antwerp has been taken2 and our tension has lessened, I must at least send you a sign of life. I should be glad to hear soon how you all are and, in particular, to know what news you have from your Martin!
It is doubtful whether my trip there will come off. My work at the hospital takes up more time now than when you visited us. I must not conclude without thanking you, also on behalf of my wife, for the time you spent with us!
With cordial greetings from house to house,
Yours,
Karl Abraham
