Berlin-Grünewald
28 January 1920
Dear Professor,
I have just heard that neither you nor your wife were able to travel to Hamburg. As it is therefore impossible to express my sympathy and friendship to either of you personally, I feel compelled to send you and your family a few words of deepest sympathy. Your sad news1 has affected us as deeply as if our own family had to mourn the loss of a young life!
My thoughts are with you and I remain, in true devotion,
Yours,
Karl Abraham
