Berlin-Grünewald
9 September 1924
Dear Professor,
We already know that we cannot expect you at the meeting in Würzburg. But I will at least inform you of what goes on, so that you can see that our cause is not dormant.
At the same time I send hearty congratulations to you and all your family on the second granddaughter.1 Also on behalf of my wife! Vivant sequentes!2
As my latest feat, I will tell you about a parapraxis. I read in the paper about the League of Nations Congress in Geneva. The disarmament proposals of the Great Powers, bristling as they are with arms, aroused my mistrust, so that in the review of a speech, instead of “the League of Nations must see to the necessary guarantees [Garantien]” I read “the necessary grenades [Granaten]”. The transposition of letters is quite amusing.
Cordial greetings from
Your
Abraham
