Berlin-Grünewald
15 October 1924
Dear Professor,
Your telegram1 arrived at the end of the Würzburg meeting, and I want to begin by thanking you for it. I had planned to send you a
detailed report about the proceedings but I think you will already have heard personally from van Emden and perhaps from others as well, so I can be briefer.
Attendance was quite satisfactory; the list shows 48 names. Most of the papers were of a remarkably high standard. This interests me, first of all because I would see in it an extraordinary sign of objective improvement and subjective well-being; and besides … but I do not need to say this!
