The Revue française de psychanalyse is a peer-reviewed scientific journal. Founded in 1927 "under the patronage of Professor Sigmund Freud", it is the first international journal of psychoanalysis in the French language. Published under the responsibility of the Société psychanalytique de Paris, the Revue française de psychanalyse enjoys editorial independence. Its editorial board decides which texts to publish according to its own criteria, in keeping with the journal's history, and attentive to the times. A forum for debate and reappraisal of numerous clinical and metapsychological issues, it addresses major contemporary psychoanalytical themes, confronting classic Freudian data with post-Freudian contributions both within and outside the field of psychoanalysis.
The Revue française de psychanalyse is published quarterly, with a special issue devoted to the work of the "Congrès des psychanalystes de langue française", an international congress bringing together authors from many countries.
