Zusammenfassung: Es wird ein eigenhändiger Lebenslauf von Gertrud Jacob vorgelegt, die nach psychiatrischer Ausbildung in Heidelberg und Analyse bei Fromm-Reichmann mit Billigung Eitingons in Hamburg eine psychoanalytische Praxis eröffnete, ohne die Ausbildung am Berliner Institut absolviert zu haben, und 1935 nach Amerika emigrierte, wo sie 1940 starb.
Summary: Psychoanalyst without regular training. The »Curriculum Vitae« of Gertrud Jacob (1893-1940). The author presents a CV composed by Jacob in 1935 after her emigration to the US. Jacob's life is remarkable because on the basis of her psychiatric studies in Heidelberg and an analysis with Fromm-Reichmann she started practising psychoanalysis in Hamburg with the explicit approval of Max Eitingon although she had not fully attended the Berlin Institute.
