Research Professor in the Cardiff School of Social Sciences, Cardiff University. Her research interests are in subjectivity; gender and class; psychoanalysis and psychosocial studies; post-foundational approaches to psychology and the psi sciences; affect and experience; cultural theory and artistic practice and community regeneration, affect and the global labour market. Recent publications include Children, Gender, Video Games: Towards a Relational Approach to Multimedia (Palgrave Macmillan, 2007); Challenging Subjects: Critical Psychology for a New Millennium (ed. Palgrave, 2002) and Growing Up Girl: Psychosocial Explorations of Gender and Class (with H. Lucey and J. Melody, Palgrave and New York University Press, 2002). She has recently finished a book (with Luis Jimenez), Gender, Work and Community in Post-industrial Societies (Palgrave Macmillan, forthcoming).

Professor of Social Sciences and Codirector of the Centre for Narrative Research, University of East London. Her research interests are in popular culture and subjectivities, HIV and citizenship, and narrative theory and methods. Recent publications include HIV in South Africa: Talking about the Big Thing (Routledge, 2007); Doing Narrative Research (Sage, 2008, ed. with M. Andrews and M. Tamboukou) and HIV Technologies in International Perspective (Palgrave Macmillan, 2010, ed. with M. Davis).
