FOR THIS ESSAY I HAVE SELECTED FOR EXAMINATION A NOT UNCOMmon court decision involving the placement of a "foster" child. This material is drawn from a book which I am writing with Anna Freud and Albert J. Solnit. The book, on which Seymour Lustman was to collaborate and which he helped plan, is to be entitled Beyond the Best Interests of the Child.
