A prolific author and distinguished editor of The Psychoanalytic Study of the Child for nearly forty years, Samuel Abrams’s sage guidance influenced the shape and direction of the journal. His breadth of knowledge and unrelenting curiosity about the complexity of how children develop was matched only by his wit and literary style. A section of a forthcoming volume will be devoted to his legacy.
