Summary — Primal fantasies are the products of our instincts the nature of which is the same as animal instincts. Their specific form stems from the prematurity of human birth which drawbacks they try to remedy. The analyst seeks to free them of factors which have distorted them. The two first analyses of the Wolf Man are studied here in this perspective.
