The clinical evocation of a psychodrama treatment looks at the contribution of the figurative resources of the “character” on stage. The character's relative lack of substance, both transitional and fictional, allows for a measured encounter with the object while ensuring the specific constitution of diverse triangulations which harbour the possibility of becoming “one” in order to have the possibility subsequently of being “two”. It is both a speech-bearer and a provoker of affect that permits a renewed physical confrontation, itself a valuable figurative attractor of the transference. It brings into play the duality of psychic bisexuality, which is structuring as a boundary, as well as the fruitful diversity of the identificatory polarities of the primal scene.
