The Congress of French-Speaking Psychoanalysts (CPLF) came into being before the Society of which it has become the principal international scientific organ, the SPP. Desire preceded institutionalization. This fortunate occurrence, a real crucible of emergences, continues thanks to the discontinuity of the themes and authors, and traverses the ups and downs of institutions and the ravages of History. Reactualizing psychoanalytic thought, favouring the inscription of salient ideas and bringing into play numerous uncontrollable parameters results in a story looking like a cabinet of fantasies pertaining more to probability than to what is true.
