Contemporary sexual “liberation” corresponds, in fact, to a classical psychosexual conflictual situation entangled with new disturbances. In this sense, it is both true and false. In it we find a deregulation of the drive, from its source to the object, including its thrust and its aim, a tendency to splitting between ever more civilized sexual morality and perverse fragmentation, and even a neo-puritanism. This skewed freedom does not do away with determinism or chance according to Darwin: the aims of “nature” can utilize the evolution of sexualities and of kinship. Is the notion of perversion diluted in contemporary narcissistic polyeroticism? The clinical case of Nadia allows us to analyse the transition from behaviours of a perverse turn towards a subjectivation of infantile and adolescent history, and then towards a loving relationship - thanks to a specific articulation between an oedipal transference and a countertransference questioned by the feminine.
