How can psychoanalytic work be realized in a cultural universe where the place of the subject is of secondary importance in comparison with that of the group? How can the singular be heard and the speech of the individual distinguished from that of the collective? Is this not, moreover, one of the reasons why the psychoanalytic approach does not have much space in the Arab-Muslim cultural universe? In this text the author presents the psychotherapy of a woman patient. This work endeavours to un-veil and un-cover different levels of screen memories in the search for traces of the past. Different aspects of the human order are associated in this work of remembering. This illustration helps to reflect the importance of what is left unsaid in relation to sexuality in Maghreb society. It shows above all the importance, usefulness and pertinence of the individual analytic approach in a socio-cultural universe that remains marked by the weight of popular beliefs and religious dogmas.
