The early forms of psychic life contribute to the forms of infantile sexuality and to their expression in adult sexuality. Issues of emotional interpenetration in the early moments of psychic growth are played out again in the dynamics of the psychic dispositions of the analysand and analyst during the analytic session. Emotional penetrability, with its variants, is one of the important sources of early introjective capacities and their quality. The process of introjection takes into account not only the metabolised elements but also the process of metabolisation itself. The experience of sexual pleasure in orgasm remains deeply linked to this introjection of the process of metabolisation. It is a nuclear form of feminine sexuality in both sexes.
