The author puts the two reports into perspective, focusing on the atmosphere of scientific or personal identifications, overt or covert, specific to each one : the Freud of exile, aged and a collector for Suarez Labat towering above her clinical work with autism, the young Freud of the letters to Fliess for Barazer and his clinical work with psychosis. She goes on to look at the primary identification with the father with Winnicott reading Moses and Monotheism, before re-specifying, between father and mother, the most elementary dimension of the Winnicottian notion of being.
