“It is the very act of dreaming that accomplishes identification” (Barazer, 2023, p. 133). This sentence has a double meaning. The first reveals that dreams illustrate and identify the identificatory precipitate sedimented in the ego. The second suggests that they develop and pursue an attempt to represent identifications. This contribution illustrates this hypothesis by drawing on the dream of the little skeleton shared by Marie Bonaparte in “A daughter' identification with her dead mother”.
