The author reflects on one of the paths of identification proposed by Hélène Suarez Labat in her report, namely, the primordial fantasy of the primal scene, the place of erogeneity and its potential for affects. When the primal scene is representable, it helps us to understand, in the transference/countertransference process, the scenography that is operative in the analysis, how patients identify their origins, how their identifications unfold, their identifications with adult eroticism and their representations of the relationships between those who conceived them.
