This clinical-theoretical research proposes to account for the importance of the dance medium in the context of a dance workshop in a day hospital for adults. How can the fragmented body and therefore the unstructured psyche be reorganized through dance movement? How does the body, space and time connection strengthen subjective foundations? The author reports on a group clinical experience which refers, in the aftermath characteristic of grounded theory, to research on the “dynamic structuring of the body image”, carried out by the psychoanalyst Gisela Pankow, itself referring to the theoretical contributions of Heideggerian philosophy and the phenomenological movement. She thus offers a “contribution to the method of dynamic structuring in psychoses” (Pankow, L’être-là du schizophrène, ) and to a clinical phenomenology of sporting, bodily and artistic expressions, suitable for thinking about the relationship between the somatic body, psychic body and erotic body in a psychoanalytic clinical perspective in dialogue with a phenomenological approach.
