An attempt, based on an observation published by P. Marty in L'ordre psychosomatique, at confronting the psychosomatic and the psychoanalytical approaches in terms of economic evaluation. The resulting therapeutic indication seems rather concordant. The psychotherapeutic method to be used, if necessary, might require specific training.
