Drawing on Winnicott, the author lays emphasis on body behaviour during sessions, which are conceived as archaic memories at work that are actualized and awaiting narration. Winnicott's ‘fragments of care technique’, which must be sought out, bear witness to the fate reserved for the qualities of a pliable medium and the persistence of traumatic states of non-integration in borderline situations. They present themselves through the senses, even to the point of hallucinosis, and also demand their share of history.
