Based on a presentation given at the “Psychosomatique 24 study days”, this text offers an overview of the ideas put forward by Denise Braunschweig and Michel Fain in their book Éros et Antéros, a psychoanalytical reflection on sexuality (1971/2013). The antagonism between eroticism and narcissism, represented by Eros and its twin Anteros, leads them to revisit the construction of sexual identity and the complementarity of the difference between the sexes. This psychoanalytic reflection on sexuality, both male and female, is carried out by a man and a woman, a couple, who place desire, pleasure and love at the heart of their exploration. There is no doubt that Denise Braunschweig gives voice to the feminine aspect of Eros.
