Prof. Dr. Freud
Dear Dr. Binswanger,
I was not really as ‘indignant’ as you think. I explained things to myself in much the same way as you did in your letter. It is only that I believe that psychiatrists will also be reading the journal and I am very reluctant to dispense with your contributions. Perhaps I seemed irate because I was uneasy, being unable to make out from your letter, or for that matter from the second, whether you were simply being ‘peevish’ or had some reason for concern.
Vol. VI of the Jahrbuch is ready now and due to appear in about 3 weeks’ time. For that issue, therefore, your kind offer has come too late, but in the next Jahrbuch1 we shall have as much space as you need. We don't want to leave you out any longer.
You will soon be receiving some printed material from me.2 I am anxious to hear what effect3 it has. Let me have news of you.
Very cordially yours, Freud
