PEP does not sell individual articles. A 24-hour journal pass is an option for short-term access to journal articles in the PEP Archive that are outside their copyright embargo. Check that the complete article you need is actually in PEP before purchasing.
Check coverage and eligibility first
- The journal pass excludes books, including Freud’s collected works, and videos. It does not unlock journal issues under embargo.
- A reference to an article or a review of a book is not the full item. Open the article record and check its publication and access information.
- Check whether your library, institute or association already provides access. The maintained purchase guidance warns affiliated readers to check their existing arrangements before choosing this pass.
- The pass lasts 24 hours from authorised payment. Read the personal-use, printing and no-refund conditions before confirming a purchase.
Review the current offer
Use the maintained journal pass information for the current offer and purchase route, and read the 24-hour journal pass terms.
Compare access options or contact PEP if you are unsure which subscription covers the material you need. Do this before paying.
