Everyone can search and browse PEP. Reading complete content depends on the item and the personal or institutional access recognised for your current session. A search match does not by itself mean that you can read or download the full text.
Compare access options
| Access | What it provides |
|---|---|
| Public browsing | Search, publication contents and available abstracts or opening text; open-access items can be read without a subscription. |
| Personal or institutional PEP Archive subscription | Included journal archive content outside embargoes, archive books and included videos. The recognised subscription determines coverage. |
| PEP Preview | Searchable preview books with selected readable portions and publisher purchase links; not complete book access. |
| Separate journal subscriptions | Eligible IJP or Taylor & Francis subscriptions can provide additional journal coverage. Check each offer’s dates and requirements. |
| 24-hour journal pass | Eligible journal archive articles for a limited period; excludes embargoed issues, books and videos. |
Check a particular publication
Open the relevant journal, book or video and read its access notice. Journal embargoes vary by publication; use the dates shown on its current page. A preview offers selected portions of a book, not a promise of the whole book with an archive subscription.
Separate IJP and Taylor & Francis subscriptions have their own coverage and eligibility. An IJP subscription can be taken separately; the Taylor & Francis offer requires an eligible active personal PEP subscription. Check the maintained subscription pages before purchasing.
For library access, follow your institution’s link or sign-in instructions. A separate personal sign-in may be needed for features that save research to your account.
