Your browser stores copies of page resources in its cache. Clearing an outdated copy can help with loading or display problems. Cookies are different: removing them can sign you out and reset site preferences.
Before clearing data
Save any unfinished form text and note how you sign in. First reload the affected page. If the problem is full-text access rather than display, follow the access checks.
Follow your browser’s instructions
Use the vendor’s current instructions for your browser and device; menu names vary by version. Choose cached files where that option is available, and review the selected data before deleting it.
- Chrome: clear cache and cookies — select the instructions for computer, Android or iPhone and iPad.
- Firefox: clear the cache.
- Microsoft Edge: clear browsing data.
- Safari on Mac: manage website data.
- Safari on iPhone or iPad: clear website data.
Reopen PEP and check
Return to the affected page. Sign in again if you removed cookies or website data; institutional users may need to start from their library’s link. If the problem continues, contact PEP with the URL, browser, device and a description of what you see.
