In 2012 Claudia Lament joined Robert King as a Managing Editor of the Psychoanalytic Study of the Child, becoming Editor-in-Chief when he stepped down in 2017. Her leadership carried the Psychoanalytic Study of the Child into the 21st Century. She orchestrated a move from Yale University Press to the publishing world of Taylor & Francis. Their ability to provide electronic distribution, a wider readership, and excellent promoting capacities helped increase the PSC’s visibility, accessibility, and impact on our field. In addition, along with Jill Miller, then President of the Association for Child Psychoanalysis, a link was forged so that membership in the organization included a copy of the journal. We owe a great debt to Claudia for broadening the range of content and ideas presented in the PSC in ways that have made it an increasingly valuable resource for our colleagues. She also increased the Editorial Board to include younger members and more representation of the diversity of our community. As former Senior Editor Paul Brinich noted when Claudia stepped down as Editor-in-Chief at the end of 2021, the job can be a challenging one that requires exquisite diplomacy and sensitivity in working with authors and reviewers. Claudia brought both characteristics to her work on our behalf. Her time, energy, commitment to excellence, and wonderful creativity are gratefully acknowledged. We are so pleased she will continue as a member of our Editorial Board.
